  20. How to make learning effective in children?

1. What are the advantages of the program?

  • Encourages whole-brain development (left and right hemispheres of the brain)
  • The child will show improved results at school
  • Enhances his IQ, (Intelligence Quotient), EQ (Emotional Quotient) and CQ.(Creative Quotient)
  • Improves thinking skills, concentration and retention of concepts
  • Makes the child process oriented and promotes divergent thinking.
  • The child’s memory and the grasping power is increased
  • His stage fear gets eliminated and his overall personality gets improved and enhanced

2. What is the best age to start?

  • 5-14 years is the age for the formative years of the brain. This is the best age and it does not mean that a child above this age cannot undergo this program. The only difference would be that he would find it a bit more difficult than the others in the beginning because he is used to the traditional methods.

3. Is it really effective?

  • Yes. Our research has proved it! We evaluate the students before starting the course, in between and after completion. This evaluation will show the month on month improvement in the child.

4. Will this training conflict with the school's method of teaching math?

  • In no way does this program interfere with the school curriculum. Rather, it complements and supplements the teaching such that the student begins to score high marks not only in math but in every other subject as well.

5. Our child has already a lot of homework to do, this will further pressurize him.

  • Not at all. This is a play and learn concept. In this concept the child even after the first session will get so much interested in the concept that no one will have to pressurize the child to do his homework. When he/ she observes the enhanced abilities that we inculcate he/ she becomes so interested in it that they then need no push. Self motivation is the biggest of all motivations.

6. Do you mean children who do not do this course will not have brain development?

  • Brain Development is there in every child but the degree of development differs.

7. How much time it will take to see the difference?

  • You will see the difference in the child’s ability right from the first few sessions.

8. My kid is not good at math at all. What kind of improvement can I expect?

  • A lack of ability in traditional math does not predict any less success in the program. On the contrary, some of the most successful students have been those who previously experienced difficulty in this subject. We have tremendous confidence in our program and therefore we have it supported by a guarantee.

9. Will my child become good in Math’s?

  • Yes of course. And not only in math’s he will reflect his superiority in various other subjects as well.

10. Where one can use Vedic Math’s?

  • Vedic Mathematics introduces the wonderful applications to Arithmetical computations, theory of numbers, compound multiplications, algebraic operations, factorizations, simple quadratic and higher order equations, simultaneous quadratic equations, partial fractions, calculus, squaring, cubing, square root, cube root , coordinate geometry and the wonderful Vedic Numerical code.

11. Does the course clash with regular school activity?

  • No. Brainbay is not a substitute for the regular academic classes, it only complements the regular academic course, and it enhances the child's ability to excel in academics.

1.  Why people forget things?

  • Improper registration
  • Inadequate training
  • Distracting stimuli
  • Qualities of data
  • Method of presentation
  • Unnecessary data

2.  Is the memory capacity hereditary?

  • Partly hereditary
  • Partly governed by usage
  • Frequent usage improves memory

3.  What is the absorbing and observing capacity of children and how long will the children keep the things in mind?

It varies with the type of stimuli, for Example

  • Visual memory (Picture) - Minutes
  • Auditory Memory (Sounds) - Seconds
  • After I registration - Days
  • After III registration - Months
  • Factual information (names, places, numbers) - seconds-minutes
  • Personal events-days - months (some life long)
  • Procedural memory (riding a bicycle) - possibly life long

4. Is it possible to improve the memory capacity of children? How?

Yes. Memory capacity can be improved by

  • Simplification of the data
  • Classification of the data
  • Attractive presentation of the data
  • Association of data with personal significance
  • Repeated practice and recall

5. Whose memory capacity (children or elders) can be improved more and why?

  • Children’s memory capacity can be increased more. Since their brain is maturing, it will be easily amenable to modification and alteration.

6. Why the absorption and memory capacity of children differ from each other?

  • Partly hereditary and partly because of their habits

7. Children get motivated towards playing compared to studying. Is it good?

  • Yes, it is good since it keeps them healthy which in turn helps them in studying
  • Naturally they are more interested in what they like. If the data is presented as interesting as in playing, they will be interested in that also

8. Brain develops and sharpens naturally or only because of training?

  • It develops naturally
  • Sharpening of brain can be done by training

9. Usual techniques and treatment and the new developments in them to sharpen the brain and memory.

  • Simplification of the data
  • Classification of the data
  • Attractive presentation of the data
  • Association of data with personal significance
  • Repeated practice and recall

10. Various parameters to be measured to know the development and capacity of children

  • Attention
  • Concentration
  • Visual memory
  • Auditory memory
  • New learning
  • Recall
  • Abstract reasoning
  • Problem solving

11. Methods used for measuring the development and sharpening of brain

  • Repetition
  • Mnemonics and Mind mapping

12. Will the memory capacity differ with the age?

  • Yes
  • After 30 years there is a progressive loss of neurons in the brain till the death

13. Will food habits affect the brain memory of children?

  • Yes Adequate nutrition is essential for proper functioning of brain

14. What sort of food for improving the brain and memory   power?

  • Balanced nutrition is enough

15. Food habits differ with places. How do they affect the brain or   memory?

  • As long as it provides essential nutrients and necessary energy, there is not any difference.

16. Memory capsules or health drinks are sold in the market. Are they   useful really? How do they actually work in improving the memory?

  • They are just claimed to be effective but are not scientifically proved so far

17. Can memory cell be replaced / reformed?

  • Decay for brain is normal and decay means that the formation of neurons (brain cells) will be less as compared to their dying rate. But having some memory technique / games we can maintain the good memory as the age progresses.

18. How to deal with the children?

  • When ever a child does something good, then we must give rewards. Rewards may be the things which Children like the most like chocolates food or anything they like. The rewards can be in the form of appraisal. But we have to make sure that the appraisal should be given in front of the public. But we should not scold the child in front of others as this will create a negative feeling which ultimately decreases the self-confidence in the children.

19. How to scold a child?

  • Withdraw a thing which a child likes e.g. suppose the child likes the cartoon serial, we can put a condition that he / she will only be able to watch their favorite cartoon, if they score good marks in the class test as the case may be.

20. How to make learning effective in children?

  • Try to relate teaching with the interest of children. There are many interest a child may be having like 1) food 2) cartoon 3) Colors 4) clothes 5) movies (try and relate the teaching in their ways of interest)
